Dapitan City: Dakak Beach Resort

Serenity. Dakak Beach Resort is located at Dapitan City, Zamboanga del Norte. Hometown!! Yes, I could no longer count how many times I've been to this resort. But, I tell you, its charm never fades. Dakak never gets old for me. It still is captivating. I still get sooooo excited every time we plan on going.

First, let me tell you something about Dapitan City. Familiar with Dr. Jose Rizal's life story? Yes, this is where he was once exiled. So, the city is historical. Later on I will show you pictures of Rizal's house in Dapitan. It's easy to get to Dapitan City. There are flights from Manila and Cebu to Dipolog. From Cebu, the flight takes only about 30 minutes. For me, I always watch out on promos, so my roundtrip ticket usually costs me Php 1,200.00. For non-promo flights, it usually costs around Php 2,500.00 roundtrip Cebu-Dipolog and Dipolog-Cebu. There are also boat trips from Cebu to Dapitan and it usually costs Php 800.00, depending on what shipping line. Via private car or bus, Dapitan City is just 30 minutes away from Dipolog City. But Dakak is not in the city proper. It's like a hidden paradise. It's also about 30 minutes away from Dapitan City proper. Don't get worried about being lost because the people there are very friendly and everyone is familiar with the resort.

For big groups like us, I suggest you book the pavilion room. It costs only Php 8000.00 good for 16 pax.! You already have 16 free tickets to Gloria's Fantasyland  (I'll post about it later on).

Dakak isn't only about its beach and swimming pools. The resort also has an adventure park-ziplines, atv, horseback riding, etc. Unfortunately, I haven't been there yet (because it's new). I'll blog about it once I have already experienced it.

This is another "non-mainstream" resort and another must-visit. Be amazed by its beauty.

Check out these pictures:
P.S. There are still two more swimming pools (kiddie pool and main pool) which I wasn't able to take pictures of.
