Baguio: Day 2

Straight from the Strawberry Farm in La Trinidad, we went to the Philippine Military Academy. It's my second favorite place in Baguio. The moment you enter the gate of the PMA, you would already notice how clean the place is. You would already appreciate how disciplined the people there are. We hiked from the gate to the main building. We got the chance to take lots of pictures of the place. It was tiring but we enjoyed.

This is my favorite spot in the PMA. The view was really breathtaking.

On the way to the PMA, we talked about this tree house. So, upon reaching the place, we searched for it. We got so happy when we finally found the tree house. My sister and I hurried to climb up. I got scared though.

Near the PMA is Camp John Hay, we stopped by to have our late lunch. We chose to eat in Pancake House. When we got out of Pancake House, it was already very cold and windy. We decided to buy donuts at J. Co before heading back to the place we were staying in.

But instead of heading home, we dropped by the famous white house. It was really creepy! My sister opted to stay outside and just wait until we come out. We went up the staircase but we didn't even bother to explore the second floor.

Side trip to La Trinidad, Benguet

Early in the morning, we decided to visit the Strawberry Farm in La Trinidad. We were advised to go at around 10 because the traffic isn't that  heavy.

Upon arrival, we immediately tried the famous fresh strawberry ice cream. I am not a fan of strawberry-flavored ice cream but the ice cream in La Trinidad is an exception. It was really really good, just the right combination of sweet and sour.

I didn't expect it to be that wide. We viewed the strawberry farm from up the mountains and it looked really really nice.

I remember this was taken at about 12 noon. That's one thing I like most about the place. YOU DON'T NEED TO STAY INDOORS EVEN AT 12 NOON!!! Hahaha

Take a look at these cute little strawberries! :)

Baguio: Day 1

City of Pines, my new favorite place. I love Baguio. I love how you can stroll around without easily feeling tired (because of the climate, of course). It was my first time in Baguio and I really didn't know what to expect. We arrived at Baguio at around one in the afternoon. After leaving our things at the place we were staying at, we went out to have our late lunch. After that, we started our sight-seeing. First stop was the Baguio Cathedral. Next was the Burnham Park. I loved the view at Burnham Park especially the trees! The place was crowded at that time. The boat ride was really fun especially when you bump with other boats. My sister got really scared, haha! Straight from Burnham Park, we went to Mines View Park - my favorite spot in Baguio. Oh, the touristy feels. Hahaha. The view deck was really crowded at that time. It felt really awkward to smile for the camera while people were watching. Other than that, you could also take pictures with the pink horse and with your Igorot costume. Souvenir-shopping there is a must! They offer cheap items and take note: prices are still negotiable. Just a short distance away from Mines View Park is The Mansion and across it is the Wright Park. From the Wright Park, we walked to the famous Baguio Botanical Garden. To end our day, we went to SM Baguio to have dinner.

Side trip to Macau

On the third day of our trip, we decided to go to Macau. It is an hour away from Hong Kong via ferry. What I love most about Macau? Oh, the free shuttle rides. Haha! I love how the hotels in Macau provide FREE shuttle rides. We all know that Macau is a gambling destination, but that's not all. There also are places to see for those non-gamblers like us. Although it was only a day trip, we got to see a lot of tourist spots. We went to the Macau Fisherman's Wharf first from the ferry terminal. We had our late lunch at Darling on The Wharf. The food there was really good and affordable. We met a Filipina from Baguio who is working there. And yeah, in Macau, you get to see lots of Filipinos. After that, we immediately went to the Venetian. The place was soooooo crowded. There were lots of people there. The place was so busy. The Shoppes Canal was amazing, you would wish you had all the money in the world. Haha jk! Next up is the Gondola ride, of course I wouldn't miss it. After, we immediately went to Senado Square where there were flocks of tourists. We then went to the famous St. Paul Ruins. Before heading back to the ferry terminal, we had an early dinner at Pizza Hut (just a short walk away from Senado Square). After filling our stomachs, we then went to the ferry terminal to catch our 9 PM trip going to Hong Kong. I took most of the pictures so unfortunately, I only have a few pictures of myself.

Hong Kong: Day 2

So here it is, day 2 of our HK trip. We woke up really early to avoid the long lines at the cashiers in the cable car terminal going to Ngong Ping Village. Since we arrived too early, we just ate and checked out some stuff at Citygate Outlets. And ohh, let me mention that the Tung Chung MTR station is my favorite MTR station. Haha. I enjoyed the cable car ride because it's long enough, longer than the cable car I have tried riding on. We had to pass by 7 stations. The view was really breathtaking. We were able to see waterfalls from above. When nearing the 7th station, you could already see the Tian Tan Buddha from afar. We did some sightseeing and a little bit of shopping there.  Right after Ngong Ping, we went to the happiest place on Earth, Disneyland. We were able to tour all of Disneyland and we were able to try out the rides we liked. My personal favorites in Disneyland are the River Safari Cruise, Space Mountain and the Big Grizzly Mountain Runaway Mine Cars. *speechless* You should try them yourself! ;) Of course, the Disneyland experience wouldn't be complete without experiencing Disney in the Stars or the fireworks display. I tell you, the experience is wonderful. We ended up really really tired but really really happy. We are all kids at heart anyway, haha! Check out these photos:
